The average chocolate bar has 8 insect legs in it!

After cocoa beans are harvested they need to be fermented. This means that they are put in an earthen pit near where they are harvested and covered with leaves. In the hot sun they ferment (rot) and then can be shoveled out as mature cocoa beans. Of course during this process lots of insects are present.

Almost all chocolate have bugs in it, because it is too expensive to manufacture without bugs. The FDA allows a certain amount of bugs or animal in most foods you eat. Almost all manufactured food you eat comes with an animal you won't think would be in it.

Cottage cheese is allowed to have 10 fecal coliforms / gram (fecal coliform being bacteria like Escherichia coli that is normally associated with human and animal feces). Doesn't mean that it will hurt you either.

      insects have protein and plus the insect legs are probably really small so you wouldn't notice anyway, besides some people eat ants. so what's the big deal about a few little insects legs. but if someone was so worried as to have insects in their chocolate why not make your own at home, get a couple of cocoa tree's, let the beans ferment in an insect free environment somewhere on your property or in your house blah, blah , anyone else think this is possible?

      well you can eat some ants, and insects have protein so its not such a big deal. although most or all insects may be disgusting to many people some or most of them can be eaten and to be honest its not that different from eating other animals for example, there's a sea creature (I think it was a lobster or a crab) that's exoskeleton can be eaten, so its kind of the same as eating seafood and most people like to eat seafood so if your disgusted by the thought of having bugs in your chocolate jUsT iMaGiNe SoMe DeLiCiOuS cRuNcHy SaLtY ExOsKeLeToN cRaCkInG iN yOuR mOuTh MMMmMMMmMMMmmMmMm..

Bear Grylls says insects are high in protein so its good for you. (not that i eat insects intentionally)In saying that you may as well stop eating or drinking altogether cause you'd be surprised what is really hidden in most of the food you eat.     I came here because I FOUND A HUGE MOTHERFUCKING INSECT in my chocolate bar just before a few minutes...like wtf it came from it was all the time in the fridge so I guess chocolates does have bugs in it !!! fucking more disgusting than cockroaches !!
